I recently had work done by J. Ippolito Construction on a complete bathroom remodel. From the first time I met Mario when he came to bid on the project, I felt comfortable working with him. He spent a significant amount of time asking questions about the project, being very thorough about the scope, and what I envisioned. Mario had been recommended to me by a friend and after comparing his competitive bid with others and appreciating the time he spent with me initially, it was an easy decision to go with his company for my bathroom. Throughout the process, he communicated with me constantly, helped me make decisions when I wasn't sure and gave his educated recommendations without ever being pushy. His team was friendly and professional and I felt comfortable having them in my home. We had some hiccups with materials being delayed from a supplier and he was able to work within another project timeframe so that I wasn't too delayed. Mario never seemed phased, and there's always something that comes up in a remodel-old construction, supplier delay, broken parts, etc. I have recommended him to my friends and would definitely use J. Ippolito again on future projects. The bathroom looks great and it's thanks to Mario and his team!

From start to finish, Mario and his team did a wonderful job. Gutting and renovating our bathroom wasn't simple (old house, crazy plumbing, a polar vortex in the middle of the project), but they were great. In addition to their top-notch workmanship and follow-through, I really appreciated how considerate they were of our home and our time. And the level of communication was exceptional -- I always knew what was going on throughout the process and could count on quick, clear responses to all of my questions. I highly recommend them – we have a beautiful new bathroom now that's so much more functional, too.

It is a pleasure to do business with Mario Ippolito (actually, the two Marios – junior and senior) and their fine construction crew. We highly recommend them. When we finally decided to renovate our kitchen after 39 years living in our home, we looked no further. We saw the fine job they did in a friend’s home. She told us how easy they were to work with, and the quality of the job done spoke for itself.
Here are things that are important to us when choosing a contractor:
1) good communication; 2) honesty; 3) expertise and quality. You are getting all of these if you choose the Ippolito's.
We own an old (built-in 1928) brick bungalow. The kitchen was remodeled sometime in the ’50s or ’60s, I would say, by the previous owners. It was totally knotty pine. We knew there would be issues when it was gutted, but of course, we didn’t know just what challenges awaited us. The options for remedies to several issues were thoroughly explained to us, and Mario listened to what we needed and wanted in a kitchen at the outset when he came for an estimate; then he answered all our questions thoroughly about the issues discovered along the way and gave good, solid options for how to solve them. This made our decisions easier, and for an issue that might have had only one possible solution, the reasons for it made sense, and again, because those reasons were thoroughly explained. Good communication – check. And all the way through to the end, this was our relationship. (We had our bathroom done by a different contractor ten years prior, and though we liked the outcome, the lack of communication was a nightmare. ) The Ippolitos was a godsend in this regard.
The workmanship on the ordinary things that are part of a kitchen renovation, as well as on all those “old house issues” was excellent. And to add to all this, all on the crew were so pleasant to deal with. You could tell that in addition to their expertise, they loved what they were doing, worked well together, and having them around was a pleasure.
Any time you undergo a project that is this large, it is stressful. These gentlemen made it as easy as possible. I would recommend them to anyone. WE LOVE OUR NEW KITCHEN and are so glad we found the Ippolitos!

Their collective knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and more was vital for the success of the extensive work I had done in my townhome. Mario and his team completed the gut-rehab of three full bathrooms, tore down a wall to enlarge the main living space, replaced the kitchen backsplash and all closet doors, added crown molding and new floorboards, replaced every lighting fixture, relocated the washer/dryer to the lower level and replaced them with a pantry in the kitchen, and much more. My husband and I are writing to recommend J.Ippolito & Sons Construction for carpentry and concrete work. We had our front walk replaced with new concrete. We also had a custom storage shed and pergola built. We appreciated how Mario met with us and listened to the requirements for our projects. He and his team continued to communicate clearly throughout the project with us and with the city to meet the local ordinance requirements. We are very happy with the craftsmanship of the shed and the pergola. Many of our neighbors have been asking what the building is since it looks more like a small house and not your typical storage shed! We also appreciate how Mario and his team did not force us to make decisions without ample time to think things through at various stages in the project. We are extremely happy with all of our projects! We look forward to working together again in the future!

We learned about J. Ippolito Construction from a friend in our neighborhood who had a great experience working with them on a basement remodel project. When the time came for us to bring an aging parent into our home, we were torn between a major interior remodel, or an updated back yard space. Mario spent a great deal of time with us helping us flush out ideas and review possible outcomes and budgets. Ultimately, we decided to transform our outdoor space into a backyard paradise. Mario presented us with a budget and timeline and the work began as planned. Each phase of the construction was completed according to the timeline, and the communication was always top-notch. We couldn't be more impressed with the professionalism and quality construction and craftsmanship. Mario and the team truly did transform our backyard into a beautiful respite where we can enjoy time with family and friends. The before-to-after transformation is remarkable. We couldn't be more pleased. Now we have plans to pursue more home remodel projects, and we wouldn't consider working with anyone else other than J. Ippolito Construction.

From beginning to end, Mario was excellent to work with. At the onset, he spent a good time listening to my remodel hopes for the basement, helping me fine-tune them and think creatively. He continued to uphold great standards throughout the remodel: respectful, open, reliable, good workmanship, and excellent communication. We were extremely happy with the work that J. Ippolito & Sons Construction did in our basement remodel and first-floor update. The crew made a real effort to contain the construction mess and dust. The team was polite and friendly. We were always comfortable with them in the house. They respected our space and the fact that we were still living in the house while they were working. They felt more like family by the end of the project.
J. Ippolito & Sons Construction were very understanding of our budget and strived to work within the constraints we had. They were always upfront about the cost of “hiccups” that always come with a project and the cost of the ideas we came up, as we went. Any changes to the plans that involved an adjusted cost, were always put into writing and communicated clearly. Changes that were required but did not affect the cost, were communicated clearly once we requested that information. Between email, text messages, and in-person conversations, Mario was always very quick to respond to our questions.
They were very supportive of our vision of the newly remodeled basement space, trying to accommodate all of our wishes within a small and unforgiving basement configuration. The quality of the work was excellent. They were concerned not just with appearance but also with correcting safety issues. That being said, they also cared deeply that it looked appealing too. Our new basement is beautiful, safe, and meets our desired results. We look forward to using J.Ippolito & Sons Construction again soon.

J. Ippolito Construction did an amazing job in our kitchen remodel. Mario and his team were extremely helpful starting with preliminary budgeting and helping us find a design and price point that worked for us. Mario was very involved through the pricing process, design, permitting, and all through construction. The work was done with great attention to detail and was completed on time and budget. I couldn't be happier with our new space and we will be calling J. Ippolito Construction for our next project.

My wife and I recently decided to renovate our upstairs attic space move our son's bedroom and make room for a newborn. The space was transformed by the previous owners of the house into an in-law apartment in the '70s and hadn't been touched since. We contacted J. Ippolito's construction to provide a quote. Mario asked us for a time that he could stop by that worked for our schedules and was on time for the appointment. He walked the space with us, listened to what we wanted to do, gave us input on other ways to do things, and clearly explained options and what could and could not be done for each aspect of the project. We obtained multiple quotes for this project but in the end, went with J. Ippolito Construction. Mario provided a competitive proposal in a timely manner and worked with us on some aspects of the project allowing us to save money. The project was scheduled, began on time, and completed as stated in the contract. During any point in the project something came up that was not per the contract Mario contacted me and explained the different options and costs associate with those options allowing me to make an informed decision. The workers were clean, professional, and polite. I had an 8-month pregnant wife in the house during the entire course of the project and she had nothing but compliments for J. Ippolito Construction. The finished project which includes a family room, 2 bedrooms, bathroom, and office exceeded our expectations. We would recommend Mario & J. Ippolito construction for anyone looking to do a home remodel big or small and we will definitely be using them again.

Mario and his team are wonderful to work with. They are very professional, efficient, and accommodating. Mario will offer advice or input if you wish but explains everything thoroughly as to why or why not he would recommend certain things. Mario and his team initially helped us with a bathroom remodel and a couple of other small projects. However, in the middle of the project, we had a fire in a different part of our home. Mario immediately jumped in to help us in this challenging situation. The team went above and beyond in several ways:
Helping to clean up the fire damage - well outside of their scope. Negotiating with the insurance representative - Mario was very quick to prepare new estimates and coordinate directly to help us reach an agreement with the insurance. Fit this extra repair work into his team's schedule on very short notice to get us back living in our home as quickly as possible. The quality of the work is great. But the care and assistance are what impressed me most.
